On July 12, 2016, a ceremony was held at the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Minsk to award the winners of the 2015 CIS Prize for achievements in the field of product and service quality.

The awards were presented by the Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.
By the decision of the CIS Economic Council dated March 18, 2016, “On awarding the 2015 CIS Prize for achievements in the field of product and service quality,” LLC “Kyrgyz Cognac” (Kyrgyz Republic) was named a laureate in the category “Production of Food and Agricultural Products.”

The competition is held once every two years, with the first stage being national. At the national stage, the Secretariat of the CIS Prize Competition Commission is the Center for Standardization and Metrology under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The results of the competition reflect two years of work by the CIS Economic Council, the CIS Executive Committee, National Bodies for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification of the CIS countries, the MGS Standards Bureau, CIS Prize experts, and the organizations participating in the competition.

Last year marked the completion of the 5th CIS Prize competition, in which enterprises and organizations from CIS countries – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, including the Republic of Bashkortostan – participated.

Six organizations were awarded the title of laureates, and six were named diploma recipients. The laureates and diploma recipients of the CIS Prize represent the best organizations from the CIS member states.

Kyrgyz Cognac is a national brand and the largest cognac producer in the Kyrgyz Republic, widely recognized not only within the country but also abroad. The company’s half-century history represents a journey of creatively mastering domestic and international winemaking experience, continuously expanding production, and implementing the most advanced technologies.

LLC “Kyrgyz Cognac” was also a laureate of the Kyrgyz Republic Quality Awards in 2013.
